Even though I was exactly the sort of girly girl  Kerrigan was being presented as, I preferred Harding despite her lack of polish because she was an awesome skater. I was deeply saddened that her career ended early and she didn’t have the opportunities her talent warranted.

I am not sure how we, meaning society, is borderline Team Tonya these days. Did she really need to go to the Golden Globes? Yes, she grew up poor, and with a shitty mother. And she was crapped on by the skating world because she was deemed poor trash. But sorry, I don’t feel sorry for her. We can tell her story, but…
