Comically evil characters do have a place in a setting like Star Wars, though. The entire franchise is built on the bones of ancient myths and legends mixed with cartoonish matinee serials from early Hollywood. We have intelligent robots who talk with beeps and boops for frig’s sake, and people understand them.

What are you talking about? Mel was announced to be returning back in June, and the last time we saw her before her Power of the Doctor cameo, she left to go gallivanting in a spaceship. Not the most inspiring story if she’s back on Earth 35 years later in a Doctor Who Companion support group.

The live action crossover with Strange New Worlds was amazing. I loved how Pike kind of loved Boimler & Mariner but also was so annoyed with them. It was surprisingly relatable

I’m just glad that there is a group of people that simultaneously love Star Trek AND this type of humor. There is hope for the world. 😆

It’s been greater to see Mariner’s journey, and it was kind of funny that it was played so well that some folks got kind of upset at the writers thinking they were just being lazy when they were really focusing on her psychology.

Both Republicans and Democrats have increased funding for border security over the years. Democrats have largely backed electronic surveillance, drones, sensors…

Additionally, give them Social Security numbers.  That way, they can pay income taxes, FICA, and Medicare.  If they stick it out for forty quarters, they can get a check every month, wherever they are, when they turn 67.

There’s no “both sides” issue on this.
