And because having the computer do the shifting also lets the computer alter the fuel map in a predictive fashion, preventing emissions, NVH, and fuel consumption spikes during shifting.
FTFY
I could read that cover-to-cover and then just start all over when I was done.
I’ve got the best Corollas. There are Corollas out there you’ve never even heard about, and they’re better than the ones you did hear about. The best, the classiest, gold Corollas out there. Many people are saying that the Scion iM is actually a Corolla. Many, many people want to know. Where’s the birth…
Why keep ringing up a history created by people that are dead now? Has the Cruze Diesel been a rolling disaster? How about the Colorado diesel? How is that one doing? Oh yeah, it’s easier to hate on a company for what it did 40 plus years ago than pay attention to what they’re doing now under FAR better management.
I prefer that the non-enthusiasts have something cheap and reliable, like the Corolla, that they can abuse instead of the cool cars.
By that same token, look at the current Duramax. That’s an in house GM engine IIRC, and it is more than capable of blending in to the background and just being “an engine.”
i never understood the hate of Corollas. They make a perfectly acceptable economy car for the non enthusiast masses.
Word. I think it’s just a lazy cliche like Ferrari’s burning down all the time. It’s the car forum equivalent of the guy who comes into your office and says, “Workin’ hard? . . . Or Hardly Working!!” Oh ZING!
No no, this was before that model came in. Back when you had to make a Jeep crush you on your own.
Finally I can leave my kids in the back with the windows rolled up and doors locked without some snarky white knight coming and breaking my window for the fourth time.
A droptop M3^h^hM2 would cause me to look long and hard at my e36 and my bank account and go visit the dealer.
Exactly... that’s why I’m very confused by McLaren’s FULL STOP response. FT would not publish something so exact and news-making unless they’re certain.
Okay, that’s not real.
If someone makes a macbook pro that opens to reveal a Macleran P1 I would consider buying it.
Or maybe we get over OBDII and just use that USB port (or wireless) that all cars have and that crazy app computer thing in your pocket...not to difficult to wrap your head around.
and yet....no one is really mad about the loss of floppy drives, optical drives or network ports (well, network ports sometimes...)
@2016 we’ll give you Don King if you give Ali back
The movies about this campaign will be amazing.
