Goddamn. Avicii and Mac within a few months of each other - my inner high school music-self is crying. And right after Swimming, too... man, I’ve been listening to that to buoy me when I’m feeling down, but holy hell if that album isn’t gonna take on a deeply sinister Blackstar-revisionist-esque lying-to-oneself

Sure, but then he has her watch Attack of the Clones, and then she uses the bond that they form in hating the movie to distract him and escape, and then I want to say she fights him with a sword? What I’m saying is that it’s ludicrously over the top. If you didn’t find it funny, I get that, it’s pretty silly but it’s

Yes, his persona in which he pretends to be a serial killer is clearly an expression of genuine hatred of women. Now let’s talk about that genuine right-wing hack Stephen Colbert and that hate-mongering show he had on Comedy Central.

SSeriously?! The movie is just bad. Not in some bullshit anti-SJW way, just in a bad movie way. It's full of dumb. I HATE that I can't say that wo being seen as some weird internet creep.

Roger Ebert praised the Plinkett reviews, which pretty much buries most people’s fashionable cases against them now. They’re far from perfect, but they’re VERY far from what they’re usually accused of being by people who have never watched one

Not to mention that everyone who thinks CinemaSins needs a “response” at length is both a joyless dickhole and painfully socially awkward. Even when the RLM guys parodied it in their “A Quiet Place” review, they took aim at the minority of the channel’s fans that consider a comedy channel for movie-lovers to be

You know nothing about movies if you think RLM’s in-depth discussions e.g. of lighting and blocking are “nitpicks”

Conversely: no, it’s not, and no, it isn’t. The re:View they just put out on “Predator” is one of the best things they’ve ever done. RLM has only gotten better over the years

People are lowkey mad because they tore Ghostbusters 2016 a new asshole.

So I just watched it. I’m a huge defender of TLJ, and Mikes criticism tends to skew towards the nitpicky (Jay is usually more fair in his critiques), but I have to admit that some of what he said against the film made a lot of sense to me. Particularly, he points out all the weird little plot holes and nonsense logic i

Anyone that claims Plinkett reviews are just nitpicking has never actually watched a Plinkett review. Fun fact: Rian Johnson used to be a big fan of RLM before the HiTB review of TLJ. Now he no longer follows them on twitter.

Don’t you know that RLM is just a bunch of bigots and sexists that hate the new Star Wars because it’s full of women and minorities? /s

Never mind this, the real TLJ news of the week is yesterday’s Plinkett Review from RedLetterMedia!

I see the slick trap that you’re trying to lure Katie into—making her dig up facts rather than simply asserting her opinions (or the opinions of random people on Twitter) as if they were fact. But rest assured, Katie Rife will not fall into any such trap!

When you make a point as utterly stupid as the one in that twitter post, you’ve already derailed the discussion.

I know your next tactic is to say “Why are you so concerned about defending him??”

No.

I think its mostly due to the fact that recognitions is a troll and knows the points he makes don’t hold up to scrutiny. He chooses to be dismissive instead of engaging in real conversation because he knows he is wrong.

“In fact, if I want your opinion, I’ll be happy to beat it out of you...”
Wow, look out everyone, got a real tough guy over here.
