Nope... point I’m trying to make is: if you’re butt hurt because you didn’t like an Asian actor in a Star Wars movie, fuck you; if you’re butt hurt because you didn’t like the character and/or her prominent role in the weakest part of the movie, that’s fine, but still fuck you if you troll her... it’s not like she

Good for her. Fuck the trolls. The casino sequence was still wack, but that’s not her fault.

unrelated Katie, but I hope the next time you consider writing another post about Twitter and it’s TOS you consider that your own web site not only allows this clown to post, but they are ungreyed and preferred here. Most of these aren’t even to me. This is just in an hour span. Their comments have been flagged by

I’m one of the awesome people who fell even more in love with the show when it started to expand its universe and become its own thing.

I guess my feeling is that this is no time to draw lines. Lines are being obliterated, goal posts are being constantly moved (No collusion! > Collusion isn’t a crime! etc.), and moral consistency is punished while hypocrisy is ignored/rewarded. And in light of this, I think i can forgive Franken for at least the

We SHOULD and need to get a lot of things, sure. But instead we have flawed people like Franken whom i believe genuinely want to do good, but also happened to do shitty things. I will take that. I know people say it as a joke, but “perfect is the enemy of the very good” and the like really applies here.

For all intensive purposes, we know what he meant, though.

Because he’s one of the rare Congresspeople who actually wants to do good for the country rather than just getting reelected.

The idea I said that “Bush’s foreign policy can be described as “not viewing Muslims as fanatics”” is dumber. I said we underestimated them by calling them cowards and that was endemic of a larger issue of not understanding these people or their culture before liberating them without plans beyond the liberation.

You making mistake Bush & Cheney wanted you to make, which is including Iraq and Al Qaeda in some amorphous, sinister “them” who in reality had no connection to each other.

Yeah; I don’t think the point is invalid. Suicide attacks are the opposite of cowardice and more the ultimate example of how zealotry can compel people to do things that go against basic survival instinct. The coward is the one who orders others to execute the attacks for him, not the people who actually carry them

The take, is subtle and not smarmy. “We underestimate our enemies - at our peril - by calling them cowards. They are very brave lunatics willing to die for God” is the another way to state what he was saying.

FUN FACT: Remember when Bill Maher lost his show on ABC for stating  the 9/11 terrorists did not act in a cowardly manner (in rebuttal to President Bush’s statement calling them cowards) but instead were brave to stay on the plane...........he was agreeing with his guest- none other than future felon and inveterate

Objection; relevance

Well, the only logical conclusion is that everyone who worked on Dawson’s Creek thought Williams was ugly, a bad actress, and poorly-dressed.

I don’t even get it!

Nah, Recognitions is a long-known shithead on this site.

I’m familiar enough with recognitions’s body of work, such that it is, that I feel fairly confident in my assessment of his/her impact on this little community. Different strokes for different folks, though, Joey.

I’d say that I’m looking forward to the moment when you have that grand epiphany—that you’re part of the problem--but I doubt that you possess anything close to that level of self-awareness.

Is there nothing to be said for apologies and the passage of time? There’s a difference between posting tasteless jokes 7 years ago, then stopping that kind of behavior and apologizing, and posting racist and sexist screeds in the present day and doubling down when confronted on it.
