Serious question: Why even consider leaving Disqus? I've never noticed anything too bad about it, despite people's complains. Sometimes it bugs out or goes down, but everything on the internet does. Everything in life does. I'm not sure I understand what more we need in a comment system.

I was a poster way back before Disqus. Even in the way, way back when it was a forum that we created topics in and not attached to individual articles. I want to say it was around season 2 of Lost when it changed to article-specific posting.

I'll do my part by crassly supporting Trump, GamerGate, and MRAs to see how quickly my comments get deleted. We want it quick, but not too quick that we can all get at least one clever and cutting response.

Where can I exchange all my upvotes for recognition in the new system? I'd hate to think that the accumulation of disqus-based AVClub approval has been an empty pursuit devoid of any real-world application. That would just be depressing.
