You nailed it on the head. At Achtung Baby, they made an ode to American rock, ambient, post punk, alternative, and didn't seem to care what the mainstream was doing. Zooropa, was a blatant excuse to hop on the electronica bandwagon, Pop (other than the single version of Please) was awful. All That…. was Matchbox…
