the 2020 Pacific’s has the transmission selector right next to the radio dial. they are the same shape just a different size. This was rental for me, so i wasnt super used to it, but twice i found myself holding the “shifter” about to crank the radio.

Just dont drop it on your foot. Especially if its an E Series.

When we talk about modern cars needing more of a greenhouse, this isn’t what we mean.

I got a 2013 VW Passat TDI earlier this year after my 07 Mercury Mariner died of gearbox failure. I been actually quite happy with my Passat and it feels good to be back in a sedan after 7 years of driving an suv.

It kinda makes you wonder how much joy in life we are willing to sacrifice for safety. Sure, we could all live in little foam-filled cocoons and have nutrients fed to us through a tube, but where would be the joy in that? Many have also pointed out before that even though things were less safe in the past, kids coped

Same here, miss my old girl too. And agreed the risk of turbo going out was one of the major reasons I sold mine too. But even with that risk these things have a very solid market, especially up here in the PNW. I sold my car with 140k miles on it 4 years ago for $9.5k. Agreed that $12k sounds like a lot but probably

It’s probably hers, how many others could there possibly be?

What I find odd about this build is that they obviously spent too much on the engine, on what otherwise seems to be a “strippo” model. White-painted bumpers ALWAYS meant that. Steel wheels with nut covers and the base engine are what belongs here. and keeping a Powerglide tranny????

For $20k you can get a Hellcat motor (not selling the Demon motor yet to what I can tell). You could probably have some reputable tuner shop get you to 840HP for another $15k. Put it in a V6 Challenger and go trolling.

That Viking I is excellent. It looks like a miniature Pacer.

I had one recently. A 30 something year old male... a security guard at a gate was checking my ID and was like “I like this.” And I was like “thanks, I appreciate it.” He replies, “yeah, my 16 year old daughter would love it.” And proceeded to laugh much more loudly than he needed to. A-hole

No industry insider is going to risk alienating the giants of their own industry. The hyperbolic character of his assessment leads me to wonder how long he’s been familiar with mechanical engineering. I seriously doubt anything on the Tesla can hold a candle to the corporate atrocities of the ‘70s and 80s such as the
