That scene in MacGruber was so excellently blocked and framed that I cannot NOT break out in laughter every single time I see it. One of the funniest scenes in any movie ever.

I am deeply, deeply aware of that joke in the WW movies and sketches yet I somehow didn’t get the joke.  I think I heard “knot” and not “not” and then the dialogue moved on so quickly that I didn’t dwell on it.  Now I feel stupid.

Acting is different activity than merely existing. There is a reason nobody would watch an “average person acting in typically average ways” - it would boring as hell. Just like most of Bautista’s performances are.

I truly, truly cannot stand any of Bautista’s performances.  Totally wooden.  I can acknowledge that some of it may be superficial, as his swollen face prevents an nuanced physical communication, and his overall presence is distracting.
