The Sledgehammer reference gets my star...

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

I use a handheld steel wire masher to mash and then a fork to fluff. Then a fuck ton of butter, milk as needed for proper moisture, a little sour cream, some garlic, salt and pepper. Really, I primarily play those things by ear and taste. (I taste with my ear).

But the fork is key in getting some air into the potatoes

I can confirm that baking soda+vinegar works.  I made this mistake earlier in my independent adulthood life, when we were hosting my parents for Thanksgiving.  OOOPS. Apparently, my wife didn’t notice that at the time (or more likely pay attention/remember) and offered to peel potatoes last Christmas and did it again.

If all goes well tonight, I am going to engage in some Non-Abusive WAP Impact activities.

I remember my freshman year in high school when they took our typing class down to the LIbrary to show us about the internet, since the computer in the library was the only one with access. Early 90s.

Same. This meme is news to me. And I actually watched that episode.

Yeah, I actually thought it was a funny comment. Because there was a kernel of truth in there - at least truth in the fact that a lot of people watching it were probably thinking the same thing.

A big problem with Reddit is that the search results don’t give you an preview of what a thread actually says. If you get a lot of hits on your search, the form in which the search results are shown is pretty useless.

I’d love to see this in the Alps during the winter. Bring in some aristocracy, Russian oligarchs, stupid drunk Brits, and hot tub antics, and I am in.

I love how this is kind of starting to feel like a farce, which is not something I was expecting. The energy and caricatures are ramping up and the music and editing kind of support that approach. On the other hand, the nuances of each character keep coming out, which is the opposite of a farce. In any event, the last

I read this book when it came out. It’s a history of slackers.

Probably because Missouri was a slave state and Kansas wasn’t? And they fought a war over it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleeding_Kansas

I mean, they are in their 40's and the band has been around for 20 years. It’s not exactly like they are recreating a particular sound out of time. They just kept doing what they’ve been doing. And before TB, one of the primary songwriters was in the Lillingtons, who formed in 1996 and were also squarely in the

He went pretty hard into Trump pretty much every show before the pandemic. I think doing it from home really put a damper on the show. I also agree all late night shows rely to some extent on the sleep-deprived/partial inebriation element, too.

Duh.

Yeah I think season 1 (and maaaybe Season 2) had a few people who seemed relatively normal and were clearly skeptical about the whole premise and generally kept their distance. In particular, I am thinking of Andre and maybe, I don’t know, Irene? For the most part everyone they cast, even in the beginning, were

Just wait until you guys hear about this thing called “cable” in which you get all of the channels and only have to pay one company!

It’s worth it just for Ted Lasso alone
