Hooray! Finally a good episode. This one finally does what those earlier episodes failed to do. Story! Character development! Backstory! World-building! Solid action!

I think it’s good this season showed a version of their relationship that ended naturally, otherwise I think some people would forever bitch about Chidi and Simone and how the only reason they didn’t end up together was the whole Soul Squad thing.
Yeah, in case it wasn’t clear, I wasn’t arguing that Simone owes Brent anything.
I think that’s what countered any sort of concern that Simone would end up with Chidi - even on earth she showed her strain with him. Eleanor, while annoyed at him, has always loved Chidi for the flawed human he is.
All of that with “Foot Lager” in the background makes this show remarkable.
Wait, what?!?!?
“These trivialities demean me - I must away and tend to my ravens.”
The wimpery gasp that escaped my trembling lips at the unfolding of the note scared me a little...
Stupid groundbreaking, genre-defying sitcom, making me tear up...
That prompted an “Amen, brother” from the teacher in me.
“Where I’m from, most things end up exploding.”
She totally read the note in his glasses.
Ugh, let’s not bring up Simone ever again.
It’s perhaps telling that none of Chidi’s most important memories involve Simone
I think this was my favorite episode of the whole show.
Soulmates are not found. They are made. That Michael and Chidi talk was something beautiful.
Eleanor knew the “answer”. Which doesn't exist exactly. It'll probably be a hard sell to the judge nuanced grey area thing. Tbd.
-“We’re not not a book group”...Chidi. Chidi, no.
Really cutting it close here, but that was one of my absolute favorite TV episodes of the decade, hands down. I don’t often use the word perfect when it comes to syndicated TV, but that was as close to perfection as I’ve seen since The Americans bit it. Just... wow.
I was in tears at that ending. Good lord, January is forever away. Goddamn, Mike Schur.
