I was watching last night's James Corden and it was just depressing. A bunch of vacant hobnobbing amongst celebrities from the recent Huntsman movie that comes down to children and what they eat on planes. I don't think there was even a monologue (and his are usually bad).

It was more the environment rather than Bush himself. It fostered a lot of great comedy especially around and post-9/11, or within the context of the Iraq Afghanistan wars.

I was also roping the Daily Show and others in there too. Late Night comedy is bad as well.

eh. I liked the focus of comedy albums. I never listen to podcasts. A bunch of rambling iterations and reiterations of the same thing over and over. Might as well be a drunken rant recorded on a cassette. But not nearly as funny because it's probably 8 am.

Comedy used to be such a huge thing during the Bush years, and now we just get a standup special once in a while. There are so many standup classics from the era they're hard to count.
