To the people who think things are bad in Egypt, just look at Turkey. The Turkish military made the double mistake of waiting too long to act, and when they finally did fumbling on the 1-yrad line (they had fighter locked Erdogan’s jet and it didn’t take a shot).

It’s amazing how a nation can still be that much butt-hurt about a war they lost about 130 years ago. Especially when compared with how Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay once wiped 90% of Paraguay’s population, and they didn’t put 90% on their flag like Bolivia did with its 10th star.

I gave up when Sandra Oh left. Christina was the best thing about this show.

WTF does British Leyland have anything in relation to Tesla? The origin of all the problems of British Leyland was that it was state owned (and also created by the state). Both management and labour were incompetent on a monumental level because they knew they’d be bailed out by the state. Had the UK government never…

They only reason she was on TV in the first place was because she’s married to a Kardashian. Why would E! still want a show without said Kardashian?

But it was so bad on so many levels. I always figured some execs were in a meeting and it went something like this:

Holly sh*t! A woman wrote and directed D.E.B.S.?!! That movie looks exactly like what you’d imagine a brainchild of corporate committee made up of white men.

The problem with Roswell was that it went through story-lines at break neck speed. The first 2 seasons could’ve easily been stretched out to 4, or even 5, seasons. Also, it had a really good cast. I doubt that they’d be able to find a new one that would be as good as the old one.

I’m guessing because it’s the GOP color? OTOH, I don’t recall Dems all wearing blue ties.

Jerry Brown, who happened to be California’s Secretary of State when she was sentenced to death, will never pardon her. I don’t see Gavin Newsom pardoning her either if he’s elected after Brown.

I can already see the Very Special Episode where terrorist attack the club and take hostages, where we learn that one of them is actually gay and loves western musicals but joined ISIS as a defense mechanism against his bubbling gayness.

I’m surprised to hear that there were any monuments in Baltimore. The city has had a majority black population for decades (and majority non-WASP population for even longer), why did it take them so long?

Because of Regan’s war against everything left of neo-consertavism, pro-unionism/labor was conflated with liberalism. You can be a liberal without being pro-union. In Europe there’s a clear distinction between socialism and liberalism.

There are plenty of other “narratives” about third world children of color. The fact is that the only reason we (Americans) see the stuff about suffering is because otherwise we wouldn’t have seen anything at all. How many people would even know that Cambodia is a country if not for the suffering that it’s civil war…
