Just reviewed the photos at the Sotheby’s link and to me it’s simple. You’re paying for the “patina” of 60 years of life well lived.
My vote goes to the previous article. The 2019 QX50. Sounds nice enough except for the performance.
Now you’ll never be able to run for president.
Like your going to get this going fast enough to roll... ;)
“Missed it by thhhhaaaat much.” - Maxwell Smart
What goes Yeeeeeeeeeee, bump bump, bump bump. A rally Subaru taking out a photog and his camera.
I was just coming in to say “This car has flown in a 747, have you?... You beat me to it. Good job though.
Heartbreaking. Absolutely heartbreaking. Sold my (only owner) ‘84 GLI to my Volks Specialist Mechanic. Missed that car from the day I dropped it off. Several years later, I was in to the shop for something and there was my red GLI sitting in the lot. I went over and looked at it. It looked like it had been through a…
Truth be told this one didn’t evolve that far. About a week old Great Blue Heron dinosaur.
Youtube. That’s how I learned to reprogram the one I found in the street. Now when I go to bed at night, if I think I forgot to lock my Ranger, I simply reach over and push the button on the fob that I keep on the night stand. Honk, Honk!
In your best comrades voice: “In mother Russia, radioactive sasquatch come to you...”
I like the tongue hanging out best of all.
Mmmm sweet days of my yout!

About every 12-18 months it shows up in another new vehicle. It’s been in an Anglia, it’s been in a slightly older MGB than this example and so on. He shows up,…
I don’t know. There’s been plenty of times that I’ve been hammering nails or sawing wood on the back bench and needed to do a quick double check of a length or miter and didn’t have the correct tool at hand. I mean - a dollar bill is only so accurate for those applications.
This is a 67 yr old woman who gave me her itinerary for a month in South American in November. “Where’s the return flight?” “I haven’t booked anything.” I don’t think that she’s afraid of not having everything pre-planned. :)
My sister is taking the Canadian from Vancouver to Toronto this spring. She is flying out, doing a cruise to Alaska and back then jumping on the Canadian to come home. It can be nice to be a wealthy retiree sometimes... I’m jealous as heck.
