The Milky Way is about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 km (about 100,000 light years or about 30 kpc) across.

I have had it since it was in Beta, but haven’t started playing yet. One more year and my son will be in Kindergarten and I will finally have some free time. I played Elite and most of the other games like it when they first came out. I plan on some day playing games like this as I live in my real life space ship…
They should start working on designs replacing all of the copper wiring with Carbon Nano-tube wires. The weight savings alone would make the use of metal wires a thing of the past. I am also surprised we aren’t seeing the bodies 3D printed to allow for wiring to be run internally while maintaining structural integrity…
Yet they will be alive 3 decades from now to remember the idiots who drove like that and got themselves killed in some stupid way.
Someday AI will use savegame info like this to create virtual versions of the people who played them. You never know who is going to be the grandfather of the next Einstein. Becoming famous via association has always been a thing and creating realistic versions of those people will be a popular pastime for people with…
Good thing they are probably going to have court cases coming up to educate them on their levels of responsibility. They didn’t understand that the conditions they were in were worsened directly by their actions and inactions. The insurance companies are going to have a field day going after them once the video is…
That would have been my very first move on the tech not listening and putting up more cones, or letting me do it for them. People die in icy conditions under normal circumstances. Throw in a blind hill and two techs who shouldn’t be entrusted to block lanes if they thought that was safe or legal and I am surprised no…
Did you not see the school bus in the video?
The technician was not even following protocol. Those are dry, flat conditions and still have to be deployed hundreds of feet behind the vehicle. They were also blocking a lane, requiring signage at least 1500 feet (in my state at least) before the road is blocked. These were clearly not those conditions and even if…
You damn kids changing the priority of all of the cars around you to essentially become an emergency vehicle. Laughing at the choas of cars parting for you like a Bruce Almighty movie. Makes me wish for the good old days when cars were driven by moronic people and.... no wait this is better, even with the no good kids…
I am waiting until I can 3D print graphene sheets and carbon nanotubes from a carbon source. Once that is possible, I am getting one shipped into orbit and printing my solar sail space drone. Once it is out and about in the solar system, I’ll have it grab a handy comet and convert itself into solar sails to guide it…

I see kinetic energy transfer through electron mass change. It is also very inefficient at least in its current form. Try experimenting with random shaped containers and variable strength EM fields to tailor the kinetic transfer and you could get some serious delta V.
I played there occasionally but mainly played Dawn of the Immortals.
The Warriors are not the only team to have this tech enabled on their app:
A gyrocopter based flying car would be much easier to fly for the average driver in the US. It would also be safer for the people in the vehicle if the engine fails.
It was a ticket being given at the hotels pick up and drop off point. The hotel allowed the car to be there. The guy was in the wrong by trying to leave, he should have just accepted the ticket and then had the hotel take care of it. The cop was in the wrong making up the injury. It never damaged his foot and medical…
The tests have easier to achieve requirements for older vehicles for exactly this reason.
10 years from now we will have implanted visual cortex interfaces. This will allow us to have vision far exceeding normal. Video and records from this era will have to be enhanced to be viewable once we have been spoiled by colors and clarity no man has ever imagined.
Imagine a few decades from now when people can have entire reproductive systems grown in a lab from their own stem cells before implantation surgery. No anti-rejection drugs, and if it was for gender reassignment purposes, would supply the needed hormones as well. These early steps are just the tip of the iceberg.
Now all they need to do is figure out how to beam power from orbit to these kind of things and they wouldn’t have to land for years.
