Non car comment... you must have a very forgiving family, the Vectrex is amazing! Got any of the screen overlays?

The Q7 is great at long hauling teenagers on family trips to places they would rather not go. But I would go crazy without the fun car to go with it.

I have this car exactly (with better wheels) and it’s great at this price, even with these miles. Mine is just at 90k and I only daily for six months a year here in the frozen north.

Yes, greeeeen!

I never understood that Mazda logo, figured it was some Japanese symbology that made sense to someone somewhere.

Sadly buyers (us) somehow insert their own subconscious impression of the logo onto the whole product. If the logo looks dated, say from the 90's, then the object is assumed to be from the 90's.

As an owner of both (2x Audi and 1x Porsche) you are completely correct. Porsche issues are more expensive but less frequent while Audi are smaller/cheaper but happen twice a year. YMMV.

Quite a bit more than that. Tires for my 996 alone were close to $1k. Good point.

It’s the top that puts me into CP. Can get these for $1k more all day with a working top and the same mileage.

Obligatory Simpsons:

Growing up in the 70's if I had refused to eat what I had been offered as a guest I would expect to be killed by my Mother at the first opportunity. You simply did not refuse hospitality, unless you are allergic and then only with TONS of apologizing.

This is about what I am in for on my 996 so it justifies my NP on this one. I daily the 996 for half the year though so Porsche maintenance prices are more reasonable in that way. Even if my use pattern would double this I would be tempted if I had a garage slot.

Always partial to this one myself, same theme though.

Sadly this is the argument Boeing used to sell planes. At some point you need to update the platform or you Kate going to over extend it. Not saying we are there now, but it’s not endless.

Canadian car with gull wing doors but not a Bricklin, CP

That is the key point. Uber drivers can not offer their services at their own set rates and compete based on that. Uber sets terms, rates and rules...that is employment not contracting.

I second this point, but since I live in Minneapolis this still leaves me with freezing fluid for most of January/February.

I’ve got a 2017 Q7 and had to have one computer replaced and periodically have to shut off/open door/close door/restart the car to get the infotainment stuff to reset. So YMMV on this one in my experience. The control scheme is perfection though, the right blend of switches, knobs and the click wheel are great when

Excellent job failing fast. Now they can tell Bird and Lime they were there first.

Off lease Momserati are avaliable everywhere around here (is that the plural too?). Missing my unreliable Jaguar makes this seem like a pretty good idea if I had the garage space. I try to take a defense in depth option to unreliable vehicles if I can.
