Well written!!!

Damn, dude. Glad you made it outta that one.

Didn’t read. But gave you a star for length.

Glad that you were able to get help. Stranded is bad enough, but it would be terrible under those conditions

Scary shit man! Glad you found help in time!

Crank is forged (53#’s), forged Casar rods, forged Mahle pistons. DOHC, cam over bucket, 16V, flows better than the TIII Lotus out of the box. Get it fuel, a good tune and plop a GT30 size turbo on it....make 400hp+.

I bought an SC400 because of that hinge.

Heh, you should see the hinges (and door panels) on a Renault Avantime.

Hey I found a video of it. Youtube...is there nothing it can’t do?

Used to work at a Lexus dealership the Lexi’s sc300/400 probably had the most intricate hinges ever. They cost a fortune to replace.

Unfortunately, I did not notice the hinges, but now I wish I did!

I agree. American cars were pretty bland. I remember my mom got a 94 Intrepid. Beige on beige, horrible to look at but over 10 years needed not 1 single repair. Not even brake pads. Just oil changes and filters/belts. The bonneville was for the dad who couldnt afford the cadillac but wanted people to think he

A stud or two broke when pulling the head the first time. Seems to still be the case.

Dash cams seem like a good idea.

The bigger the engine the easier it is to learn. Once mastered you can apply it to smaller vehicles. I rarely use a clutch in a manual vehicle anymore.

It’s required for pickups and other large vehicles to have the 3m safety tape. Most owners rip it off after inspection.

You must be a very proud young (I assume) man.

I used to wrap the seatbelt around the steering wheel a couple of times and then buckle it up to make sure they wheels stayed straight on my tows. Never broke one.

My god!! I read your post as each of these failures were on different vehicles as a summary of the ridiculous things you have seen. But this was all on one vehicle?!?!?!
