I think the close-up of the keys Gomez pulls out of Walt's left jacket pocket is to justify their decision to allow Jessie to sit in the car by himself for a moment.  What else other than a key in the ignition would cause that bong bong sound still going as Walt shuts the door of his car?  This may be a stretch, but…
