It’s possible that the operator sat there and made the conscious decision to allow the vehicle to continue in autonomous mode to (as the article outlines) see how the vehicle would react…

Adding to my previous comment: It seems like Lincoln offers customization in all the wrong places. Based on the configurator, the “Reserve” trim only comes with 2 wheel styles - no color choices, just 19" or 20". You have what feels like 100 seating options and gadgets, but I can’t opt out of the wood grain interior…

More people need to experience the 3.0L Twin Turbo and the 30-way seats.

Wouldn’t Mercedes and Infiniti fall more into the Lincoln competitive set vs. the Ford set (Tahoe/Yukon, etc.)?

Pretty sure that the roof height matches Ford’s “JUMBO” unit roof height. Basically took a long wheel base, high-roof unit, swapped a garage door on the back, a steel girder on the front, and gave it distinguished side burns. 

I was once issued a parking ticket that listed my modified mazda as a “honda civic”. I blamed the altezzas. hahah
