I get that you’re only semi-serious, but I’d never even think to compare Better Off Dead with Say Anything. They’re just so different. Dead is a hilarious absurdist comedy. Anything is a drama with a few bits of realistic humor thrown in. Lloyd Dobbler would never see a jelly-like substance containing boiled bacon

Dany is reaching her hand out, motioning Jon to jump on Drogon with her. Instead, for no reason I can see, Jon turns away and keeps fighting the horde on his own?

Regarding Far Out Space Nuts, I don’t think you’re missing much. Its humor is summarized in its opening sequence, where there’s a button for “lunch” and a button for “launch” and Chuck McCann (basically playing The Skipper from Gilligan’s Island) tells Bob Denver (reprising his Gilligan role) to get lunch and Bob hits

Wait wait wait. That’s absurd. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve read today. How could anybody think Kate and Sawyer fucking in broad daylight is gross? Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly going at it out in the open where anyone could see? I’ll be in my bunk...

It was a prime time show!?? That’s amazing. I somehow merged Holmes & Yoyo into my Saturday morning memories. And sadly I completely missed Future Cop. Ernest Borgnine! His robot (cop) friend! It sounds similar to 1992's Mann & Machine only without the sexy.

I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing. When I say “Killmonger was right,” I’m referring to Wakanda choosing to hide for hundreds of years. When Killmonger says “Two billion people all over the world who look like us whose lives are much harder, and Wakanda has the tools to liberate them all... where was

To the young man’s credit, he did say “helped.”

Except T’Challa wasn’t going to “leverage Wakanda’s wealth and knowledge to improve black lives globally” until Killmonger convinced him it was the right thing to do. Killmonger is the bad guy, but he’s actually right about the mistakes Wakanda has made in the past and continued to make until the very end of the film.

I can’t believe nobody mentioned Monster Squad

I’m glad I’m not the only one.

What you are talking about is the Paramount / Disney Marvel Universe

This deserves many, many more upvotes.

Chief?

She was the super-uptight sister of JLaw’s character, I think.

This week marks the 20th anniversary of Farscape

That’s a good point--most people eliminate alcohol at 0.015/hour, so 3 hours prior he’d be at 0.131 g/100ml.

I don’t know!!

The thing that’s weird about Pretty Woman is that I know the premise is completely ridiculous but it draws me in anyway. And the primary reason is Julia Roberts’ performance. I can see that her performance in My Best Friend’s Wedding is technically better, but here she shines in a way that’s never been replicated.
