I think I got called Mr more often as a young man than I do now in my 30s. At school. And especially at Football practice. My coach always called us Mr and our last name. I always thought it was cool then. A cool kind of respect. Using Mr as a prefix to me seemed like addressing us as Sir. Like we were Knights.
