BUT WHY ARE WE SHOUTING??
Hydrogen appears to be losing at the moment, but don’t write them off just yet. We might not have enough raw materials to switch the whole fleet over to battery EV. When lithium prices blow up, hydrogen might have a nice comeback. Hydrogen is kind of like a battery in that it’s storing electrical energy. You use…
Toyota does everything slowly and carefully. I assume part of the perceived slowness is watching every mistake made by other manufacturers, what the market actually buys then making it. The bZ4x is just poorly named IMO but the car is solid... once the wheels are secured.
It won’t fall out of favour. You just have to look at the reasons people are buying SUV’s to understand why.
This would be correct if battery technology wasn’t at the equivalent of pre-war gas engines. Yes, current batteries are heavy and aero is really important to get every last mile but they’re anticipating quadrupling the energy density per kg of battery in the next ten years. When you’re looking at 1,200 miles for a…
I think that’s incredibly naïve at best, and disingenuous at worst.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That reminds me of a college friend whose dad bought a Mazda Tribute because he was sick of the poor quality of American cars at the time.
Why do I feel like those headlights were taken from a Chrysler product?
You do have a point... but I still think, as a mere commoner, that luxury should represent high quality, ageless design, and scarcity. None of those attributes can be used to describe Tesla.
Every time I hear them referred to as a luxury brand it pisses me off. They aren’t luxurious, just expensive.
Anything greater than $200k. I was originally thinking $100k, but there are normal cars that cost that much now. Everything Bentley, Rolls Royce, (especially) Maserati, Aston Martin, etc. They perform the same basic task as a normal car, only with excessive waste. No one needs a car with real wood and leather…
Tesla. You will never convince me that those cars are luxury. Panel gaps I can see through, horrible interiors, “leather” that is just nasty, seats that suck, etc etc etc.
The BMW X6, Range Rover Evoque and every other “SUV Coupe” abomination. Dishonorable mention to the G63 AMG whose low profile tires on dubs made it more useless off road than a Toyota RAV4
Cybertruck.
