I actually give GM some credit for trying to start at the lower end with their EVs; with a product that was actually somewhat affordable to people. Now, granted, the Bolt unfortunately had a slew of issues which have made it unpopular despite its price (yes, there has been yet another recall; the seatbelts this time);

I’ve lived in the South long enough to hear a TON of radio commercials for HVAC systems.

100% this. That beam is freakin enormous. When they moved the Space Shuttle through LA they had to practically shut down the entire goddamn city, and that was actually 12 feet shorter than this beam

You mean one sick day

uh, no.

So much this. There’s nothing unfortunate about this. Even I know if I can’t clear the crossing, I shouldn’t even have entered to begin with.

There is no unfortunate turn of events. The transport truck driver is obviously driving an oversized load without the necessary precautions in place to ensure public safety.

Those guys only just got sick days.  I don't perceive their safety as being any kind of priority for their employers.

Yep. Never stop on train tracks.

You never, ever take an oversize load over a railroad track unless you have adequate space on the other side to get clear. If necessary you ask law enforcement to stop traffic so you can cross or turn onto a road to gain the necessary clearance. The trucking company is in a world of hurt.

if the truck driver was really just sitting there waiting for a green light doesn’t make him at fault? You have to be sure you can cross your entire vehicle before attempting to cross any kind of intersection right?

I’m quite happy about the direction Cadillac is going with their new BEVs. In my view, this is where GM should have started with BEVs instead of the low-end/low margin Chevy Bolt.

You mean Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men?

‘Bout damn time.  Welcome to 2022...

For $65k I expect the upfitter kit  and dual batteries to be standard not extra cost. It's a nice idea but way too expensive.  It would be nice if they included body lining or at least templates for cutting your own.

How far we have come. Now living in a van down the the river is the dream, and a pricey one at that.

I don’t know about the actual price, but it’s smart of Ford to finally offer such a package.

Good idea from Ford, but the price is more than a bit off-putting. I guess it’s for the trust fund, Instagram kids...

I am so glad that I am not the only one shocked by the price for a “blank slate”

Cars nowadays are smartphones on wheels and I don’t see what’s weird about that.
