“You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.”
I stopped in the local Alfa dealership the other day to check out a QV that had finally arrived. I’m looking to lease a new vehicle after the RC F lease is up, and asked them for lease prices. For a $77,000 QV 36/10 with zero down, they wanted $1500/month. I explained that paying $54,000 to rent a $77,000 car for 3…
They did make it feel nimble, but you can’t hide the physics of that much weight when you’re actually driving it really hard. It’s fine for backroads, but autox and track are where it shows it’s pork
That’s interesting because it’s similar to what I did. Although I never thought my M3 was heavy — in fact, I was amazed at how nimble a 3,900-pound car could be — the rod-bearing issue was a source of anxiety. The main reason I traded mine was because I live in Colorado and needed AWD.
Meh... does this area consistently back up with lanes passing through while an exit sits empty a 1/4 mile up the road?... more information needed to determine if this person is indeed an asshat.
Who told you to be 6’5” NOT ME
I’d like to see the 3.5L atkinson be phased out ASAP. It was great to try something new for the sake of a better engine but it has proven to be less powerful in every day driving than the 4.0 and only marginally better in terms of fuel economy. They need to go back to the drawing board. The FCA 3.6, the GM3.6, and the…
I’m actually looking at a 4th Gen 4Runner with the 3rd row. I want a body on frame SUV that can tow and survive the zombie apocalypse. I seriously hope Toyota doesn’t give the 4Runner that new bullshit 3.5L Atkinson cycle V6 in the Tacoma. And this SUV would be nice with the new 8 speed auto found in Land Cruiser.…
It’s less that they don’t drive a lot and more that holy shit you guys drive a shitton.
I’m with you! Brandon only drives 750mi/mo, I am very jealous. Its not uncommon for me to do that in a single week! In just my car I drive almost 40k/yr at 18mpg, the Mrs does another 15k or so at 18mpg as well. I’ve been putting 2 $50 fillups in my truck every week for the last 3 years.
I kind of lost it at this:
Id rather we address that before a car has a trolly problem to solve. This is my whole problem with the AV situation, it’s far too soon for public testing. And I’m not convinced public testing is even needed. Train the AI before it gets behind the wheel, while also working on the legislative and legal framework.
This - especially if we end up with a situation in which the car chooses to (somehow - still too tired to think up a scenario) kill the driver / occupant over someone else. You’ll never see an AV without overrides / a steering wheel if this would happen.
Those power options don’t actually cost that much. Those are required to be competitive these days because the electronics to make those are so cheap now. Cutthroat competition between makes have caused profit margins to be razor thin on economy cars. The rest is just inflation and safety equipment. I have no problem…
We live in a strange place don’t we. My SR swapped 240 that got better mileage than my factory KA probably put out the same amount of pollutants but according to CA its evil because it was never sold here.
