I’m sure the next time Sonic Fox and other Injustice competitors compete, they’ll be sure to remember winning with Dr. Fate or Firestorm to ensure they impress Gene Jacket.

I do agree that it may be childish but regardless of that, no matter what the game is, it causes (some) people to tilt. As long as people keep being affected by it, it’ll keep happening.

“their message and actions are flawed.”

“All I remember from the smash community before I quit tournaments was that they required all Fox on final destination.”

Haven’t seen a fight as crazy as Choi/Swanson since Korean Zombie/Garcia I. Wild that there was no finish in that fight, UFC 206 is another example of lacking starpower does not mean it will not be entertaining.

I’m not sure I follow this logic exactly. What’s stopping anyone from messaging ppl they’ve played if they want to party up?

Because fun is subjective. Some people find the “impossible” levels more fun.

    Fun is subjective.

“Those very “techniques” were never intended to be part of the game. To me, they’re cheating.”

That’s objective. For those who really like hard levels, they probably view easier stages and boring.

Be careful criticizing someone about their knowledge about MMA with a statement like “Conor had 11 days to untrain himself from preparing for the lightweight battle.” There’s no such thing as “untraining,” Conor just didn’t have to go through a weight cut this time around.

The big reason he lost wasn’t because he fought two weight classes above (which is a hugely incorrect look, as 168 is around the fight weight he is at on fight night for 145. Plus, this is always said without mentioning that Diaz fought on 10-days notice) but more so that McGregor got tagged more than he usually does.

Without access to many products, most people generally favor the ones they bought or own. Whether they do so to reassure themselves they got the best headset or actually believe that is another story.

For those with the whole “this isn’t a real speedrun cause there are glitches” mentality, please note that for each game there are multiple categories of speed runs (including glitchless which are generally less common since they are usually easier, longer and less exciting).

It was bound to happen eventually, especially at this stage. The main two Smash games that are played in the tournament scene regardless are Melee followed by Smash 4, and the audience for both just seems to be growing.

I understand your sentiment here with the elitists that surround Melee but it’s more than just nostalgia/fanboyism/egotism (not that you mentioned any, just the general response to REALLY hardcore Melee ppl). It’s more so Melee has more of a technical prowess and competitive gap than the other Smash games. It’s come
