It wasnt a golden era. This wasnt even a particualrly good one.
It really depends on what genre you are interested in. Buell XB9 or XB12? Honda Magna? Honda VFR750 or 800? Kawasaki KZ? DR650? SV650? Ducati Monster? Honda Shadow 750 or 1100? Triumphs? Those are all interesting options, somewhat beginner friendly and available for $2500
Maybe look at the last Ninja 250s and the…
Spot on. I got a 2000 ZX12R for 2700 like five years ago, sold that after like 2 and got a 2003 SV1000 for $2000. Neither were this new, but both were in good cosmetic and mechanical condition and 8000X as interesting.
Blue book, hes dscussing its accuracy for bikes, and esp oddballs like this
Last fall I rented a VTX1800 up there. I have pictures of me dragging stuff on it, and the tires were feathered at the edges when I was done. I wish Id run across this guy.
Goldstar for understanding the motorcycle world well enough to get the silverwing/burgman thing.
I dont like these. A worst of both worlds compromise. Ergonomically big so you lose some urban zippiness, and underpowered for the freeway
I had a naked 1100 recently. Dark brown with maybe a hint of maroon (rootbeer?). It was amazing how well it aged. Everyone liked it, and it didnt shout hoodlum like most bikes Ive owned. 20 something girls liked it. Other motorcyclist liked it. Old men liked it. I was pleasently surprised by how nice it rode. They are…
It doesnt really. Silverwing.
I challenge your “goldwing wont ever be cool” thing. Look t the recent F6B, a naked 79, or a Valkyrie. Im 29 and into sportbikes fwiw.
A) The silverwing is the goldwing of scooters.
B) I wouldnt want one at 2500 if it were actually new. I get that there is a market, but a hiway scooter is an oxymoron.
C) Its not, and will essentally require a rebuild.
The headlight housing isnt common to other v70s? 400$ Bulb!?!?
I was born in 88, so that my be a factor, but I consider this gen of Volvo to be distinctly “modern”. The 850-the ones right before to be “oldish” and the 240 etc to be “old cars”
how is 06>>>04?
A 2Gr rav4 is as quick as this thing, just saying
Right, I get that its rarer and prices dont scale linearly, but is this really that much better than a xc or t5? you could buy both at this price
Almost exactly what I commented.
This thing ticks soo many boxes, handsome, cool details, rare, decent power, manual, awd, wagon with rear facing rear seat, sweet interior, high build quality...
I like it, but its just too much money.
I cant believe the result here.
Ya, its unusual, okay. But at the end of the day its a 30year old camry with what, 125hp in rough shape? The AWD wouldnt really ad much to the experience, except to slow it down even more.
At 3k, you are walking past many many better cars.
Even at$900, if I were looking for a cheap car,…
2gr is 7000x as interestingas alltrac, from a kinetic perspective.
