I traded a two post lift for small block Ford stuff I’d value at about $1000 and then sold it for $1200. That was low, but not super out of line with the market on cl. I’d venture to guess the one I had would fit in a standard garage. You’d need 220v though

Not all cars are depreciating assets. Consider the 993. And this is a very special MB. It may not end up being the next 993 GT2 value wise, but I think it’s safe to say unless it gets damaged it’ll never trade hands again for less.
The active suspension stuff fails and it was complex so it’s expensive to replace. Part of pushing the technological envelope that cars of this sort tend to do.
