Its an affliction.....i not only read him still but listen to his podcast.....Its a form of masochism I will never understand....Its like i know its bad for me, but i cant stop. I know he stinks, and i cant stand 85% of his takes....but i cant stop....hopefully admitting this in the open is the first step on my road

It’s almost as if someone who heavily leans on the same tired metaphors for his entire career couldn’t come up with anything new or interesting for his HBO show.

Ah, so the solution for this strife is for Brady, Belichick, and Kraft to get in a bus and sing along to Tiny Dancer.

...And his millions and millions of dollars.

May you be forced to wait tables for a year.

Lost me at “connected to PayPal”. Wouldn’t trust them with my credit card info in a million years.

“With his angelic good looks, celebrity DNA and uncommon intelligence, Farrow was always tipped for greatness,”

I think the line is crossed when you start asking to split appetizers, bottles of wine, etc. between different diners to come up with some unholy combination of tickets. If every item has a sole owner, and it’s relatively clear who had what or you’re not going to get bent out of shape if one gets misallocated...then I

If it began with any piece of reporting, it began with this piece by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey in The New York Times, which predates Farrow’s report by five days.

I once had to do 50 (yes, 50) split checks on a party of idiot frat guys because their organization card was declined. They complained to me about the amount of time it to took for them to get their credit card slips.

I really wish any of them had the balls to say “At the time, all I could see was the opportunity for myself and I was not thinking about how working with him was enabling a culture of permissiveness for sexual predators. I acted selfishly because I wanted success and I plan to make different choices in the future.”

For all you bitchasses in the comments who waited tables at some chain restaurant in college talking about how fucking easy it is to split up the checks preemptively . . . IT’S NOT ALWAYS THAT EASY. I worked at a WIDE variety of places post-college, from shitty sports bar to 4 star fine dining, and not every POS works

Sorry but 29 years old you are not that young.

she was like 30...

Its basically so Colbert himself can avoid criticism for NOT bringing it up.

I’m not sure what people expect out of these kinds of interviews. They’re going to be awkward as hell, not much of substance will be said, and then we all have to question whether or not the allegations mean we shouldn’t be supporting their work.

confirming the “show” won’t just find Letterman posing riddles to the drifters he’s tied up in his cabin.

I’m glad Letterman is not using this opportunity to do something about Trump. I’m exhausted of comedians doing more on Trump now. I’m sure some of these interviews are inevitably going to take that turn but good for Letterman for doing something else.

Ken Jennings as the new host sounds like a good idea, but he’d follow up every correct answer with “Yes, and I knew that.”

I mean, are you saying we DON'T train our military to see everyone and anyone in the Middle East as "the enemy" and when they come they're treated to an empty house and a country that doesn't give a shit about them?
