I really don’t get the hate for L3. Some folks seem to be upset that she was used for comic relief given she’s the activist, but she’s also the hero. Without her they all would have died in the maelstrom/maw more than likely.

I 100% agree, but I am also someone who thought The Last Jedi was amazing for breaking the rules and introducing some new story beats and different takes on the heroes and the lore. As the online reaction to that one proves, some people get very aggressive moving too far away from the stuff they’re already familiar…
