“i don’t give a shot about feminism” whoa really wow couldn’t tell

Women in videogames have no choice, because they’re fictional characters that have as much agency as their writers/creators/the script gives them.

The anime monster slaying game Code Vein will release on September 28th. It’s a bit like Dark Souls if every character was from that Crunchyroll show your friend is watching and I’m totally okay with that.

smooth talking ladies man? Jesus christ have you even seen Star Wars

No, you must have watched “Edgy 2016 Words” instead.

I really don’t get the hate for L3. Some folks seem to be upset that she was used for comic relief given she’s the activist, but she’s also the hero. Without her they all would have died in the maelstrom/maw more than likely.

I 100% agree, but I am also someone who thought The Last Jedi was amazing for breaking the rules and introducing some new story beats and different takes on the heroes and the lore. As the online reaction to that one proves, some people get very aggressive moving too far away from the stuff they’re already familiar

Yeah—that’s what I’m thinking, too. I feel like that was an opportunity for the sort of improvisation that Lord and Miller wanted to experiment with.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this movie. It was just fun, plain and simple. Like a forgotten Dark Horse one shot. Which will make my rankings seem very strange to people:

I think Thandie Newton and Woody Harrelson should have swapped roles. Woody dies during the heist and Thandie becomes Han’s mentor. If only so we could get more Thandie Newton.

Um. That’s WWI dude. It was a real war. That really happened. From 1914 to 1918.

Really? This is the weird little video game easter egg? Nothing about the positively ENORMOUS on-the-nose reference to Warhammer 40,000?

She’s a bit flat, I agree... but she doesn’t really hurt the film overall. I’m actually somewhat flabbergasted that the reaction to the film is what it has been. I was ready for it to be terrible, but I found the whole thing, performances, characters, story and all to be perfectly fine. About on par with any Marvel

Solo has MANY “little easter eggs”. All of them establish a HUGE number of EU things as canon, from the books to Clone Wars to Rebels.

Why a movie that literally gives “SW Fans” everything they wanted is being panned by them is a mystery to m... Oh right, they are mad Luke wasn’t some sort of Jedi God in TLJ.
