I don’t know about you, but Microtransactions have been in games for years now and I’ve yet to be milked by them. I’m going to guess that you haven’t either and you probably don’t actually know anyone who has. So where are these non-existent people that are being milked? Or, maybe some people grab one or two things

I don’t actually think this will milk money out of much of anyone. As I mentioned in the article, the game straight up gifts you a bunch of those premiere boxes / orcs, to the degree that I started ignoring them. While the internet rages about the principle of a thing, in practice, the system is relatively generous

See my friends and I were discussing what Suda 51 meant by punk, because when you think of punk you dont really think of Nintendo and its soft family friendly image.

Hey, we live in a country that kickstarted Potato Salad.

And here I am disappointed that you weren’t referring to the other Draigo.

That isn’t how any of this works... This is bad. Accounting for studio size it is bad. Even taking it as stylized it’s bad. If you want to see an example of stylized design done correctly look no further than Dragon Quest XI, or just look at the work of any number of random freelance artists. And as far as animation

Actually, it kind of was. It’s obviously dated now, but at the time, Shenmue had some of the best graphics on the market, and its attention to detail is still impressive compared to a lot of modern games. Compare the Dreamcast games to something like Deus Ex 1 or even some early PS2 titles and it’s like night and day.

The ass in that trailer is all in those models. They look like they’re about 15 years old. That’s fine if that’s what they’re going for, but clearly the graphics that aren’t the characters are worlds better. Honestly, this almost smacks of, “Oh shit we don’t have anything to show,” and they took the assets they had

Gira, I am glad you decided to boldly post this article here, in a human gaming blog site of all places. And I think it is not too late to confirm nor should it be scary to post such things on a “game focused” site.

The thing is, it feels like overwhelmingly in the more modern Sci-fi and fantasy I’ve read—comics, shows, books, etc—the trope of power escalation is either looked down on as being, like most people in this thread are commenting, either something that derails or cheapens a narrative, or something to be avoided because

Additional counter: commenters on Polygon were pointing out that there’s not any homicide in the trailer being called out; he shoots at a Super Mutant at one moment in the trailer.

I blame the mismanagement, but I also blame the gamers.

Yet X was still a pretty damn good game. Yes, it was inferior in story to the first Xenoblade, but it was still superb on its world building and gameplay.

The wrist straps help a bit with the top buttons on the Joy-Cons - I have to agree they are hard to hit by themselves. Although it’s good to see that the joy-Cons are usable with SFII for the most part, so busting them out with the game at a party or something will work fine.

That seems like a weird take on this, many people liked New Vegas because they liked New Vegas, despite the bugs. Many people dislike Andromeda because they dislike Andromeda, and the bugs don’t help. It’s not the same situation at all, so the reaction shouldn’t be the same (and this is coming from someone who didn’t

The difference is that New Vegas had excellent RPG mechanics and a compelling world to play around in. Most of the criticism I’ve seen for Andromeda very rarely centers on the bugginess.

If you’re going to honestly compare the two situations, I don’t think anyone could explain it in a way to make you understand how wrong it is.

I’m not convinced that mistakes were even made. It’s played in a humorous way and I think sometimes we just read way too much into it.

"You can think that all you like, but the fact remains that sex IS an acceptable topic for public discussion irregardless of opinion."

So in other words, your way or the highway? If so, get that out of here.

Even if you can find some way to personally justify it, you're still being intolerant in a pretty shit way. I'm sure you'll understand when you're older.
