That song is so old that they likely all have worse than Covid now.... They have teenagers of their own.

Wow. Really?

This is the automotive equivalent of crowning.

I should’ve stopped reading the first time Erin offered excuses for criminal behavior. But I kept reading and found more of it.

Every time I see one of these that’s been “tastefully modified” I try to visualize how much the owner has hooned the everloving shit out of it.

And, the technician checks in! ( I should make it a point to do this more often.)

These are not bad cars at all. Handbuilt at the Reatta Craft Center in Lansing Michigan means that they might be screwed together SLIGHTLY better than most big GM front wheel drive cars.

I am not clamoring for a female James Bond so please don’t include me in this narrative 🤣

So again the train leader says something about believing the Tuskens were uncivilized raiders. I think we are supposed to understand that one of the implications of that is the Syndicate did not suspect the Tuskens would have the organizational sophistication to pull off that sort of ambush—and of course they did not

Yeah, I am OK if the basic story structure here is that Fett is eventually confronted with the fact that his vision for how to take over Jabba/Fortuna’s criminal enterprise is naive and unworkable, leading to some sort of conflict with the values he acquired during his time with the Tuskens.

Fennec Shand was in “Bad Batch”, which takes place at the same as the Tuscan flashbacks here.

Honestly, I think the whole thing about Cho and Seamus having stereotypical names is a bit overblown. It’s not like there aren’t people with names that sound stereotypical to their culture in real-life. I went to school with a Chang Chen (he went by a different first name as his parents gave him an English name). One

Yeah, for me it’s like Jar Jar Binks. I honestly don’t believe that George Lucas intended to create a coded racist stereotype; I suspect it was an unhappy confluence of tropes, design choices and casting. But that doesn’t make it okay.

the only Black character is named Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Stewart made it clear in a follow up clip, posted elsewhere in these comments, that he was joking and doesn’t think Rowling is antisemitic. Those quotes were taken out of context by Newsweek and repeated here bythe AV club uncritically.

It was one of those things where I saw it on the screen and I was expecting the crowd to be like, ‘Holy shit, she did not, in a wizarding world, just throw Jews in there to run the fucking underground bank.’ And everybody was just like, ‘Wizards.’

Yup, those 47 Fusions were the last of the MY 2020 that Ford had laying around. I remember looking at new Fusions in April 2020. At that time, a dealer quoted me $16k for one of the last new ones they had. That would be a steal in today’s car market.

Going the other way as well, on what they did sell, what was the price relative to MSRP (and that stat relative to the rest of the market), along with days on lot? I can at least vouch for limited Edge/Escape availability (fleet buyer), so relative to the shortage, that drop-off seems reasonably low.

Eh, of course Ford car sales are dramatically down, because Ford basically stopped selling cars, and when some of their big SUV lines were hit by chip shortages (like so much of the auto industry), I wouldn’t rely too much on 2021 data to reflect any long-term success.

A Jeep without 4wd is like...

See? Perfect example.
