I’ve got one of those coffee-pot-looking microwave air poppers that has a place in the lid to put butter for the cooking process, and I’ve found that bacon fat works just as well there, plus bacon fat has a lower points value if you’re on Weight Watchers. 

It’s pretty reductive but we had always thought we wanted between two and four, had two, thought one more would be nice, had a third, and went “Okay, that feels right.” Never second-guessed it.

Our Lab/Walker mix got limber tail once after swimming, and she was the saddest girl while she was recovering. It literally looked broken, and it hurt her to wag.

That engine bay looks well-kept...I bet the seller has a local shop that specializes in Euro motors that’s taken care of this beast. The condition of the wiring and hoses just speaks of practical care to me. 

My wife and I “grew up” with the show (I think we got together when Season 1 or 2 was on and it was must-see TV for us from the get-go) and watching it last night was a really great trip down that memory lane. What absolutely cracked me up were the people from around the world yelling out their favorite punchlines and…

That makes sense...I was curious about that.

I remember taking a Mazda2 on a test drive when they first came out, and low-key fell in love with it. It reminded me so much of my first car...a 1987 Acura Integra RS.

I didn’t, but on the other hand, now that I’m thinking about a third car for our family, I’m taking fuel efficiency way more into consideration, to the point of even thinking hybrid/BEV lease. It helps that acceleration of even stuff like a Bolt or an Accord Hybrid is now on a par with my 3.5L V6 Taurus.

I would 100% love to sit down at Garth Brook’s kitchen counter and dig into one of his breakfast bowls. The difference is, he’d make it with enthusiasm and love, and it would be good. (I don’t doubt it’d sit heavy in my stomach but I’d enjoy it anyway.)

Totally agree. And I don’t think it took 20 years before these got their due...there were plenty of us who “got it” when it came out and just rolled our eyes at the professional reviewers.

I’ve been looking at CarMax lately and it’s staggering.

Here’s the question that comes to mind with your Dukes story, though. In your childhood, watching and loving that show, did you ever feel moved to white supremacy or oppression? 

Ehhh...I suppose? But then again, how many “Ten lines from George on Seinfeld that are problematic” posts can sites in 2021 make before we’re like “Look, kids, you need to move on”?
