I sooo wanted the last scene to be Obi-Wan & Ventress getting out in the capsule and then a flight of Venators appearing from hyperspace and opening up on the cargo hauler. That would have been amazing.

Called it, unfortunately. Like I'd said before, this seemed to be doomed to the same fate as Cowboys & Aliens. Lots of noise and hype, an ill-defined protagonist with some special powers, and nothing that looked particularly *exciting*...and I'm not sure why. C&A may have had some seriously cool moments but I never

I haven't really liked the Savage Oppress/return of Maul story in general at all. It's just felt too much like fan-service to settle up with people who thought Darth Maul was underutilized.

Case in point: stomach acid.

No case on my almost two-year-old LG Ally. Also no screen damage at all, only two very minor dings in the screen bezel, no dings or scratches in the body that show discoloration, or really anything to quantify just how much I've carried, pocketed, car-cradled, or otherwise used this phone over time. I'm a careful

I have a GPS tracker that I use while cycling to capture time/speed/waypoints, etc.

Cloud integration would be killer, indeed. That said, I'd just be happy if GMusic (oh, wait, now it's "Play Music"...oh dear, GOOG, you did F that up) had better widgets.

The Growler is important because electronic warfare is becoming SO much more advanced. It's no longer just radar jamming and shutting down SAM sites. They're talking about systems that use the aircraft's radar as a broadband antenna that can essentially force viruses into enemy networks so instead of shutting down one

There are so many differences between the types that it's not even funny. If they were serious about commonality, the Pentagon would have told the Marines that they're not getting STOVL (because that's been the version that's caused so much delay and rework) and the Air Force would be accepting the Navy version (with

"You could stick aliens in there," said Eric Sterner, an analyst with the Marshall Institute, "provided they exist."

I can tell you what every baby in the world is thinking. It's one of two things.

That's not outing an informant, that's throwing out a big FU to his community.

Live teddy bears who, let's face it, almost roasted and ate Han.

Yes, that was an earlier draft. And it could have been epic, but it doesn't bother me that they're Ewoks. When I was a kid, I wanted space dogfights anyway, so the forest battle was something I just endured. Now, I think it's a little more interesting but I'm projecting different contexts and observations into it.

I think "John Carter" is going to tank. After seeing the huge promos that they were pushing on FX last night, I just started getting echoes of "Cowboys and Aliens."

This was great for a one-off episode. Some cool callbacks to ANH (I'm pretty sure that was THE Mos Eisley Cantina from ANH), nice cameo by Embo, an interesting new world with a properly realized skyhook, and the action on the "train" was outstanding. Watch how the camera view flies around the fights on the train;

And people wonder why Siri sucks the more you use it...

May I introduce you to the Vietcong?

There's an open source project for Freespace 2 that was making it look amazing even 6-8 years ago. I had installed some of the updated graphics and some changes to capship weapons performance, and it was gorgeous. As far as I know, there are still active efforts to continue to improve it.

For a while, yes, but it's implied that eventually the stormtrooper corps ended up having to open to non-clones, then to women, and then to aliens (EU timeline well after ROTJ). There is art out there that shows what an alien in Stormtrooper armor looks like.
