My local department has a program where they hand out coupons for free ice cream cones to kids wearing helmets, or will hand out freeze pops on hot Fridays to kids at parks.  Maybe the adults are too jaded, but kids seem to enjoy the program around here.

I’m not sure I see the resources argument, as they’re still out in the community and ready to respond to issues. All this does is get them out of the parked cars.

How about this? Maybe let some of the police show that they aren’t all assholes like we’re being led to believe since the only time you tend to hear stories about them is when they shoot someone or some white person calls the police for a dumb reason. It’s community outreach, and it’s a good thing.

Even if I were a racist white cop, I would see these kids running away and be like, “I’ll take the shot, get desk duty, and almost certainly get away with it.”

Brace yourself for the possibility that he was following protocol to the letter, especially if these dudes were involved with the initial shooting.

But by her own account she isn’t black, she insist that she’s proudly biracial. Why do so many of us want to force blackness on her? Why seek the embrace of those who do not want to extend it?

What exactly do you think should be done then, they already fired the person? Do you seriously think the CEO should be held directly responsible for the actions of a single server? Is that really the kind of world you want to live and work in?

It is, but Michael just hates white people and feels the need to try and complain at any chance he can. Sometimes I wonder if he actually believes the crap he writes on here or if its all just an act.

According to this very site Black people cannot be racist.

So, she got on a plane with a contagious disease, with no doctor’s note clearing her to fly, and the flight attendant booted her...GOOD! Thank you Air Canada for looking out for the safety and well being of your passengers.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Get educated, troll.

I’m sorry, but if the rash wasn’t healed, you can absolutely spread the chicken pox virus to someone who hasn’t had chicken pox before, the elderly and immuno-compromised folks. I’ve never had the chicken pox and I would absolutely pitch a fit if someone was next to me on a plane with open shingles sores and swollen

I am not saying what happened to her wasn’t racial, it could have been, but I can tell you I am not sitting on a plane next to someone with a rash on their exposed skin. I don’t care if they say they are not contagious, people lie.

Do any attorneys (other than Saul) keep phones around to give to clients who want to maintain hush-hush and lack of surveillance, such as domestic violence, pending divorce, or not-yet-filed intellectual property cases?

Which, a lot of people have mentioned and I’ve replied that it doesn’t have all the podcasts I listen to. There’s quite a few that you can’t find, no matter what search terms you use on Google Play Music.

Same story with Spotify. There’s a few podcast not listed on their site. I’m not sure why it’s so hard to be more inclusive or a little more flexible in their UI. If they don’t have it just let me sub the rss feed to include it to my podcast. Ugh. I’ll just use Podcast Addict.

Thousands of calls. She hung up on THOUSANDS of calls. Holy shit. Isn’t that rule #1: don’t hang up on the people that need help, because then you can’t help them.

““She was going through a hard time in her life,” Bynum said, according to the Chronicle.”

How the hell is this only a misdemeanor??

Jesus. If someone got killed in that store robbery, I’m guessing that they couldn’t prove she deliberately terminated the call vs. it naturally becoming disconnected or cut off from the caller’s end, or else how could that not be negligent manslaughter or some similar charge, rather than just a firing?

Because they never ordered, wanted to use the facilities without paying, and were asked politely multiple times but refused to comply with both property owner’s and law enforcement’s requests.
