One part of me says this is infinitely better than anything you can buy today unless you have north of $50K to spend. And another part of me says life is too short to drive boring cars.

After 2+ decades of road riding I got into gravel biking during the pandemic, and all the good things you describe about riding 2-wheels in the woods apply, even without an engine.

Would it have killed the seller to go over the interior with a dusting rag before taking the pictures?

The list of cars I would buy before spending $78k on this is very, very long.

It is an auto ...no dice.

In fairness  - if I’m visiting Putin in Russia - I’m developing a fear of flying and taking the train too.

Wow, you managed to get 11 slides out of 400 comments of “absolutely none!”

let me introduce you to the novel idea of leasing... does exactly what you want

It’s an SSR - which was the poster child for American union labor and modern retro Americana. This is the most “merica” vehicle that has been put into production in the last 20 years.

As a non-redditor, I appreciate it being posted here. ;-)

I call bullshit.

That poor car. I feel like Sally Struthers is about to tell me I can save that car for the cost of a cup of coffee a day.

I actually like it, but if it were up to me, I’d say let cool old things just stay cool old things. Other than money, there’s no reason to make this.

HAHAHAHHAHA

On one hand I’m happy this car came into existence. Because it was a cheap relatively economical form of transport for the lower and middle class.

Hard ND. $3000 tops.

YES! Thank you. Everyone should already understand this concept. It’s no different from how you charge your phone. Where does your phone live each night? On the charger! When you wake up, how much charge does it have? 100%! So should your PHEV/EV. If I had a gas pump in my garage I would spend far less time refueling

Surprised the Honda Fit hasn’t been mentioned, but it’s the obvious answer.

Best automotive decision I ever made was finally ditching the manual transmission and just driving an automatic. Part of this was admitting that I’m at a place in my life where the only thing exciting I want to happen on a drive is inside the car with me- good company, good music, whatever.

Well...certainly not if I buy it.
