This is a nightmare car to drive. The clutches on these things are so heavy and first gear is so low that getting to speed is a significant chore. If I was going to drop $30K on a Z4 it would not be the M version. The non-M is a much more refined car.

Dead on. How many start up car companies have failed in just the last 10 years alone? Those numbers aren’t going to go down soon either. Building prototypes and attracting investors is one thing. Manufacturing vehicles is a colossal task.

Why did it take Tesla to figure out cars should come with cameras that record the surroundings? Insurance companies should give price breaks on vehicles with cameras.
