Exactly, if someone grabbed the police officer by his neck that wouldn’t be considered “improper” it would be considered assaulting a police officer, I don’t understand why that same thing wouldn’t apply to a child.

Now playing

I read that story and this famous cartoon scene immediately came to mind:

This is the lamest comment chain of the day. Carry on.

Trying to turn my own ironic comment against me ironically? How hipster of you.

I assume you were in Wicker Park (Chicago-land person here). I went to a street-fest last summer in Wicker Park and there was flannel and bad facial hair as far as the eye could see.

Complaining about people who complain about hipsters? How hipster of you.

No one really knows. Something lazy and/or entitled I’m sure

Went to a bar in Chicago, total hipster neighborhood, to meet up with friends. Some rail thin bartender with a handlebar mustache scoffed at me when I asked him if what his favorite beer was, like I was supposed to know. So now I go to my corporate job every single day and I will move up the management ladder until

The same thing everyone else does, but with dumber facial hair and clothing.

what’s the deal with hispiters!!!

I really wish everyone would just settle on what hipsters and millenials actually do; I could use some guidance in my life.

And also for littering.

Of course the top comment is a “well actually...” about littering.

This totally got me. Grabbing a child is, in and of itself, assault under the most basic definition. This guy is a tool and needs to be disciplined heavily AND get a refresher on the law involved.

He was already ‘punished.’

10 day suspension without pay.

He’s currently appealing.

Fucking disgusting.

I believe that it was improper for the W/M to grab the child, but I had not yet determined that any offense of assault had occurred.

People who live in the projects != Black people. It would be greatly appreciated if you didn’t conflate the two.

Amazing that he knew he was being recorded and still didn’t care. Nothing new, but still astonishing to see how easy it is for some cops to abuse their authority without a care in the world.

Long enough for the grind of surviving in economic slavery to dampen our righteous anger.

How long do we have to wait before finding out that this police officer will not be fully punished for his actions? Six months? A year?
