It seems that Microsoft continues to play the ill-advised game of trying to make the Xbox One compete with the PC as a gaming platform. They should either embrace the ‘console’ as distinct and make it more home-centric (remember playing with friends and family in the same room on the same screen?) OR allow the Xbox

and what else should Sony and Microsoft expect? each announce slightly upgraded versions of their respective systems and announce better systems yet to come... it makes the people who have already invested feel left behind and, like you said, makes prospective buyers want to wait and see what is coming. None of the reviews I’ve read make mention of it, but for a lot of players, losing local multiplayer strips away 80 to 90% of the game’s long-term value. I’ve had a 14-year tradition of playing (mostly the latest Halo) games with a

I think it’s truly miserable of Microsoft/343 Industries to have dropped local multiplayer from this game. Especially since they push the co-op features so hard. Gaming with friends present is still an important part of the console experience, and leaving that option behind, along with a lackluster campaign mode and
