I drove the P85D with my brother, had a few laughs, and then went back to take out a 70D a few months later. No one needs a P85D. You can’t even breathe while it’s accelerating. It’s physically uncomfortable. If I put my hand over your mouth and nose for 3 seconds you’d move it because nobody likes the feeling of not

Best full electric on the market, comparable to IC cars.

That’s not the true chronology of the conversation though, is it?

Totally agree. After driving a friends p85 I walked away thinking “I really need to get me one of those”

Oh my god. I have a Model S and was gonna wade in this until I clicked “Show more replies.”

Which of those “true luxury cars” is electric, and which one has a sub-3 second 0-60?

Surely you are aware the Model S can go 0-60 in 2.8 sec. I don’t think Porsche wants to be slower than a four door sedan.

I just replied the same thing. I have been in a couple of them. They’re fantastic.

You can argue about it all you want but the other luxury manufacturers know that the Model S is eating into their sales and it’s the reason they’re working to build their own electric cars. Anyone who doesn’t is just going to get left behind.

I feel like you may be trolling. However in case you’re not, I’d ask you if you’ve ever been in one. I’d guess no.

The Model S starts at $69.9k while an S class starts at $95.6k, A8 at $81.5k, and the 7 at $81.3k. Not only is the Model S base way cheaper than the others like you said it was the new hot thing to buy. The car was getting so much press from buzzfeed and the like. They are comparing all the sales of a car that starts

Better than a lot of interiors I’ve sat in. Maybe not Bentley levels, but passable.

You drive a 1998 Toyota Corolla, never driven a Tesla, and live in your Mom’s basement.

Well said. Constructive criticism is one thing, but calling something junk is just trolling.

New technology always costs a premium, if you follow tech or have ever purchased a 1st generation Apple product you would know this.

i’m not a “tesla fan” i’m just a person with a brain. it’s one of the best reviewed cars of all time. every single automotive journalist says it’s something great. consumer reports fucking bought one for gods sakes. FUCK http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/tesla…

Numbers to numbers for the same 0-60 time same level of luxury and size the tesla is a better deal than the germans, or english luxury sedans. There is a massive bias in the comments section about tesla here. Put the car in context:

Yeah that’s why Porsche clearly feels the need to build a car to compete with it... Because Teslas are awful....

Oh would you look at that! Serious question: Why are the best looking cars coming out today electric or hybrid? Is it because only trendy rich people buy them, or are they actually given more freedom in the design process because of the lack of engine/exhaust/etc?

Aside from the looks and the promised 500km range, THIS is the most interesting bit about the Mission E.
