In Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man he is shown to kill one on Christmas Eve in 1991. But in The Erlenmeyer Flask he specifically tells Mulder Roswell was a "smokescreen."…

"My Struggle" is a title borrowed from a series by Karl Knausgaard and Carter admits that the premier is Mulder's struggle and the finale, titled "My Struggle II" is Scully's struggle.
