Buying a Playbook let me discover that anthology-style sf radio dramas are something I am very interested in. Who knew? But a decently done play* based on a book is good too and so far Canticle is the best one I've found.

Besides Asimov, my newer favorites are books like 'Wool' from Hugh Howey and just about anything from Jack McDevitt. I guess I'm not in the mainstream here, but I like my Sci-Fi with an emphasis on the SCI. I have a believability problem with flying dragons in hyperspace.
