“Dead System” “Obsolete”? You keep using those words, I do not think they mean what you think they mean.

The only way your Switch would be truly “dead” is if it didn’t run subsequent Switch games. It’s not for sure yet, but it sounds like this will be a relatively modest upgrade that won’t result in a new line of games. If there are games that can only be played on the New Switch, then we’ll talk deadness.

First, the Switch came out over two years ago, so it has some milage on it despite how it’s relatively new to you. But regardless, in what way is it a dead system? The Switch is still Nintendo’s current gen console; this is no different than the PS4 Pro or X-Box One X upgrades, and I’m still using my OG PS4 just fine…

If it can play all the same games and you enjoy the console, how is is possibly a dead system? Just because you have FOMO that you didn’t get a cheaper and objectively worse version? Or FOMO for a more powerful one?

This isn’t any different from what Sony and Microsoft did this generation with mid-term refreshes. It’s the new reality of consoles.

I can’t justify dropping $700+ on a new console or computer but I would like to play some modern games.  A monthly service like this would be ideal for me.  But, i’m probably an asshole for not complaining.
