I’m sure people have fun with trucks, in particular going off the beaten path. Diving day to day, not so much (I’m spoiled though). Braking and handling are dismal, but that said if I had to have only one vehicle it would be my truck cuz it’s a Swiss army knife.

My Cayman is fun to drive, my Taco is a utilitarian thing that fetches building materials and the like. It’s not fun, it’s a tool.

Understood, I own a Tacoma. I think Toyota won’t come out of this unscathed but will likely survive, that said they know they can command a premium and will likely continue to market/price their vehicles accordingly. It’s mind blowing to see Chevy and others taking $10k off MSRP and offering 0% financing, it certainly

Toyota builds reliable vehicles that hold their value exceptionally well, why would they mimic discount tactics of their competitors that are making shit vehicles? You get what you pay for..

30million + ppl got no jobs and got no money. Ppl who have jobs and some money, like me (for now?), are buying only groceries, booze, and weed.

Cayman isn’t a convertible, and it only has two seats. I have one :)

The hundreds of thousands of people that got fucked by their transmission won’t forget, and sending me a postcard that asks I send over countless documents for $20. Every owner effected will tell anyone they know to never buy a Ford product. Add in social media and their dead in the water, I can’t wait for Ford to go

Overlooked by most, the bulk of your ongoing payments will be after your warranty expires. So, you make payments and repair the thing for several years, that’s a recipe for disaster.

Appreciate that. Carry on soldier.

Well, I’ve lived in both systems to know the relative strengths and weaknesses. Not what someone told me, or what I read somewhere, I’ve lived with both of them. Montreal and Seattle, similar sized cities.

Struck a nerve? A few of my own issues I dealt with: waited 16 hours to get stitches after taking a puck in the face. My orthopedic surgeon told me that although I had ripped my PCL in half I would wait many months for surgery, because “I can still stand up”. Oh, and there’s ONE doctor in Montreal that can work on

Add in the provincial taxes too, not just the fed. Add in the sales tax, property tax, school tax, etc.. All told I was paying almost 3/4 of my income to taxes. I was born and raised in Canada and lived there most of my life, I’ve lived in the U.S. for ten years now. I make double what I would in Canada, and pay 1/3

If you make over $100k it’s not a lie, it’s a fact

Washington

I normally see them on 522 in both directions, and occasionally on Highway 2. We drove from Gold Bar to Costco in Woodinville and back on Saturday, didn’t see any cops at all.

I usually see them on 522 between Monroe and Woodinville, Highway 9, or 405. None, not a single cop anywhere

Like most I rarely drive these days, but when I do venture out I’ve noticed that there are pretty much zero cops around. I’m thinking they don’t want to get sick handing out tickets, and are likely doing real police work.

Those transmissions are flat out dangerous, it’s not just the jerky shit and whatnot. Imagine sitting at a stop sign waiting to proceed and having no idea if the car will actually move. Trying to back into a parking spot and the transmission will not engage. Traded it in with 25k miles on it for a manual MX-5 RF. Fuck

I’m very aware of AWS and their market position, that said Azure is taking share daily. The $10B JEDI contract is a good proof point, as is all the companies that compete with Amazon will use cloud facilities from Microsoft, Google, or IBM.  AWS is feeding the profit and supporting the rest of Amazon but again, this

Costco.com is getting better all the time, take a look for yourself. I understand capitalism, but Bezos has taken it to the extreme at all costs. There’s a lot of people in the greater Seattle area that would love for Amazon to go the fuck away, anywhere. Just go, you’ve fucked everything up in Seattle and pay nothing
