Anyone heard of the term "Planned obsolescence?

I've often thought the same thing. Why doesn't anyone hook up an electric motor to a manual transmission.. or an automatic for that matter. Can one of you "in the know" guys clue me in?

Too simple and effective. I have a fleet of old straight trucks and tractors. The newest is 16 yrs old, the oldest is 37. They're still on the road every day. They all have GPS tracking. Why? Because it is works.

Notice the guy went so far as to clean up the mess after cleaning her. They appear to be normal folks that suffered an inconvenient accident too far from home. I think they handled it with as much dignity as they could.
