Especially strange knowing that uncle Ben has been explicitly stated to be Irish.

As a European beer geek I'm growing tired of having almost 90% of craft beer in the market to be "American" (by which I don't mean "produced in the USA", but "heavy with American hops"). I'm not saying that I don't love taste of most American-hopped beers - but especially with barley wines I prefer mine lighter on

Power Rangers producer Haim Saban is also the chairman of Saban Capital Group, which is a part owner of Univision Communications, the parent company of Fusion Media Group, which owns The A.V. Club.

    More like "theories", amairight?

Incredible how shitty this generic cover sounds

The first Marvel Civil War limited series probably was just a flashy pulp action marketing event, but there was a great comic series behind the event - Frontline, with couple of journalists investigating ramifications of fear mongering and tensions within modern society, of course heavily filtered through super hero

I love those, and at this point I might have seen the Auralnauts dubbed prequels more times than actual episodes I-III

    Pick your Alfred!

By the way, up until now I never wondered why the hell Leia's ship leaves hyperspace on Tatooine's orbit. This (forced) line by Bail is the only reason she would have to do this instead of racing directly to her home planet as the opening crawl says she intends to.

I just read the crawl from New Hope and it is strongly implied that Leia's ship was purchased straight out of the first battle won by the Rebels.

Or somehow as a reminder of how he become what he is, maybe? I immediately thought, lava disfigured this guy horribly, yet he chooses to surround himself with it. Maybe to increase his dark side power through fear and (self) hate

Upvoted for general Syndulla call out, which I also loved. Now I think I failed for not seeing The Ghost in the battle! Interesting if they'll try to tie up Rebels finale somehow to the plot of Rogue One

I think this movie, for the first time in the franchise, put actual "war" in "Star Wars".

Finally started reading "House of Leaves" and it's exactly what I expected and more, addressing both my reading and gamer needs.

A few years back I had an opportunity to watch it in a very small and claustrophobic cinema, which, as you could imagine, emphasized what was happening on screen and made whole event an incredible experience.

I think an R.E.M. song put it best: It's the end of the world as we know it.

    Paralyzed horse, all the way!

    Fierce (shi)T

    Two words: Shotgun Axe

If Civil War is well received, I can imagine executive at Marvel thinking if one hero could work as a villain in another hero's movie, it can also be done in a TV show. Daredevil may well become a big bad in a Shadowland-like scenario, either in the Defenders or someone else's season. Or there can be a whole season on
