Yup, I discovered that too. Everything I bought two years ago was “expired.” Cool— thanks for letting me know that this was even an option.
Yeah same— found out I could register physical games one day by playing around. I suppose putting it in “options” makes sense, to some degree, but I didn’t even know I could do that prior. How very *Nintendo* of Nintendo.
and no, random commenters, I actually *don’t* care if you disagree
Nintendo UI has been trash since Wii, they are absolutely clueless when it comes to OS software. It can literally only do one thing at a time! You wann download a game and play a game or watch videos.....good luck
Be careful. If you dare to say anything that isn’t abjectly fawning about Nintendo around here you will get flamed and then have your account suspended for daring to blaspheme the Great and Mighty N.
If game manuals were a thing, I’m sure that this would be listed in a big prompt in there. I’m honestly surprised that they do not make it mandatory to print instructions for registering physical games on the backside of the physical game cover art (as far as I know).
I just bought a switch and Smash bros this weekend and it was right in front of me when I launched Smash. It should be in your in-game news feed. Maybe you went through it thinking it was something else?
Nintendo had to post a tutorial on how to find Smash Ultimate’s tutorial. Saying no one there understands how to create a logical interface is an understatement; they have to be trying to make interfaces this bad.
Other than the failure to load levels, yeah, that’s pretty well how it went for me too. They do a great job of making one of my least favorite aspects in gaming (being sneaky) fun as Hell and make you feel like you’ve outsmarted someone.
Retro studios might not be the same staff today that they were years ago. I know some of their guys left to work for other companies like 343 and Armature.
Listening to him talk about his ego is hella fascinating though.
Retrk was likely busy working on that thing they've been workkng on since DKC tf
There’s a lot of directions the Steamworld franchise could go, but since it appears they’re sticking to 2D the options are limited. An ARPG would be perfect for this series in my opinion especially if mining was part of progression.
Same boat here. Was hoping for a Steam World Heist sequel. Not a huge fan of card battles either. But I trust Image & Form.
Wow!.........I agree with everything you’ve written, although i will add that he’s also a big shit. who thinks he’s funny.
“Broflakes” brings me joy out of all this “wait, why can’t I be a complete dick anymore?” stupidity. Star for you.
I own the complete ed of the first one, but have yet to play it. I don’t mind tho, because even if it might be months or even years before I dig into some games, I want to make sure that the devs get their money ASAP if the game is good, even if I don’t always enjoy it.
