I second what you said in the first sentence there. After all the buildup, for the article to end with: “well, that’s passionate gamers for you,” is totally missing the point. I get Gita is fan of the game, but don’t close an article this way to try and minimize their actions.

Well, its not so much puritanical as straight up hateful.  It comes from the Stormfront community after all.  It deals specifically with the “black bull” type of cuckolding and its an insult (for them) because it means a black man got one over on you, or even worse, you are INTO it, and that means youre a -lover.

cuck is one of those weird words where its like “this is entirely based in our own hateful culture, and so you should also find it bad.”  Its like calling someone a muggle.  Yeah, I get that YOU care about that a lot, but I couldnt give less of a shit.

It’s hard enough to understand it when you’re the one with the toxic parent. It took a combination of my spouse saying “your mom isn’t very nice to you” and a therapist saying “that sounds pretty abusive” for me to realize that it actually WAS. It just seems normal, since you know nothing else.

I think part of Guilt’s problem is they really *can’t* quite understand that a parent can be that damn toxic, since their parents weren’t.

This. If you are lucky, having a toxic parent like that is something you can barely understand.

People who grew up with good families seem to struggle with this so much, they literally cannot fathom the idea that one’s parent (particularly the mother) could truly be a bad or toxic person.
