Yeah, it’s pretty child friendly, with themes targeted at Japan’s school system (the reliance on entrance exams, especially). Worst you’ll see is some plot-relevant blood and one of the pubescent boys being too hormone-driven/horny for society and getting slapstick in retaliation.

It is for the most part kid-safe, but be aware there are scenes of bloodshed and the second half of Season 2 features a serial killer who does a lot of stabbing.
