There aren’t enough hotels in the Austin area to support the race. If it wasn’t for Airbnb spectator count would drop dramatically.

Railguns are among the cheapest guns you can operate
The amount of allowed off ball contact was also much higher, so it was easier to stick to your man and prevent breaks and screens. You could basically hug a guy off ball and not get a foul call.
Another explanation video.
You can have your hand directly against a player while he has the ball, essentially pushing them with the hand. It allows you to defend players much closer (you could switch the hand check hand and give a push to slow down the driver and direct them to the help defense, essentially negating quickness and speed with…
Oh yeah, he’s definitely up there. If he continues the way he has I think he’ll basically take any future shooter completely out of the competition, leaving it with just those 4. I can’t see the NBA changing any rules that would make it harder to shoot (maybe move the 3 pt line?), and I can’t see guys doing any better…
I don’t think I could say that any shooter from another era was better than Curry. Jerry West was probably the best shooter of the 60’s, Bill Sharman probably the best of the 50’s, Rick Barry or George Gervin for the 70’s, Larry Bird for the 80’s, Reggie Miller for the 90’s, Allen for the 00’s, and Curry for the 10’s…
Just like a 23’9” 3PT shot is harder to make than the 22’ shot they take today?
If you look at the top 10 players in NBA 3 point percentage, all time, only 2 debuted before the elimination of the hand check rule (Steve Kerr, 1988, and Hubert Davis, 1992).
Uh....no he didn’t? Hand checking was removed in 1994, and forearm checking was removed in 1997. Remember that this also affected off ball movement, as you could grab / hinder players as they moved across the court.
Hand checking basically negates any sort of 3 point shooting he would attempt. There just isn’t a way to get a shot off with a guy right on you. While this would allow him to get more layups and trips to the line, his overall efficiency would go down. It would be a large change to his game to go for more layups (which…
Imagine modern defenses with handchecking and bodying up and you’d see a lot of movement away from the switching defense, not to mention the way guys in the 80’s and 90’s were allowed to fight through screens compared to today’s NBA.
I’m not sure that’s true. The overall physical game required much more energy and players were routinely bodied up and muscled off driving lines. The idea that Curry could just beat the guards of the 80’s / 90’s off the dribble untouched when they are handchecking and pushing every time he goes to drive seems unlikely…
He’s only able to slip defenders and get such great shots off the dribble due to how defense is played today. He’s clearly the best shooter of the modern NBA era, but what if teams could hand check? How would players who had to fight for shots in that era due in the open ball era we have today? Can you imagine how…
I think all you can say is that he’s the best shooter of the open ball era. In the 80’s or 90’s NBA Steph just wouldn’t get the shots he does now and teams would be a LOT more physical with him. We have no way of knowing how guys like Bird or Miller (for example) could have done in the 00’s or the modern NBA.
F1 racing...when they race...is pretty great. But having only 4 cars be competitive every year gets really old really fast. The red bull years SUCKED, and last year was fun only because of Williams. This year is a bit better, but consistently competitive racing would be nice.
Pontiac Formula anything from 1970-1973...so pretty
I always figured that the Myrtle Beach Bike Weeks was mostly just the bikers giving a big FU to all the people that didn’t want them there.
Any fee that you HAVE to pay and isn’t included in your ticket price when you are looking for which flights to buy.
None of those answers tells me which option is the cheapest option.
