My wife and I started using deli containers and those plastic takeout containers a couple of years ago. We buy them from Amazon at a similar price point that Claire mentioned above. They’re great! Cheaper than the the branded containers, they’re microwave safe and when they start getting crummy, just toss it!

I used to wear earplugs daily for work and used to have excessive buildup. A monthly blast with one of those over the counter ear wax removal kits worked wonders.
